Airport Location: Vancouver Airport
Advertised Compensation: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00
Summary:
The F&B Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager and/or Director of Operations in operating assigned brands, units, and/or concepts. This position is responsible for day-to-day supervision of operations associates, assigning work to both management and non-management associates, monitoring unit/concept/store level operation performance, coaching and developing associates, and performing all other responsibilities as directed by their manager.
This is an exempt position and typically reports to the F&B Multi Operations Manager and/or designee, depending on local requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise daily activities of non-exempt associates across multiple units.
- Assign tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure all shifts are covered.
- Maintain knowledge of brand standards, CBAs, leases, and compliance protocols.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Manage stock levels, prepare orders, and coach team members on inventory procedures.
- Conduct and coordinate on-the-job training to develop associate skills.
- Address routine issues and escalate complex problems to higher management.
- Interview candidates and recommend hiring, terminations, and promotions.
- Support strategies to increase revenue and track progress toward unit goals.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to motivate and develop team members.
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
- Requires 2 or more years of experience as a supervisor or unit-level manager in high volume and/or Food and Beverage or Merchandise operations or other related management experience
- Demonstrates team management, delegation and issue resolution skills and the ability to multi-task
- Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with individuals
