RESPONSIBILITIES :

 

•  Responsible for deployment of an evolving number of projects related to Dufry Smart Store objectives (customer experience, supporting store associates, collecting data insights). Typically, projects will utilize agile principles and involve piloting different types of technology in a small number of stores, assessing impact with a view to building a business case for wider deployment.

•  Using agreed proposals / Statements of Work to create detailed agile-based project plans. Manage vendors to ensure functionality is delivered as per the agreed scope.

•  Work closely with and involve all necessary key stakeholders, particularly IT and retail operations, to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and within agreed timelines.

•  Heavily focused on supporting and managing deployment with retail operations – for example, ensuring regular communication cadence with operational stakeholders, preparing or inputting in to training material where necessary and ensuring that training is delivered.

•  Monitoring and managing technology usage and adoption, ensuring that there is a robust support plan in place should the technology need repair / replacement.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

•  3-5 years’ experience

•  An understanding of the travel retail industry and relevant experience in deploying technology in to the retail store environment

•  Experience deploying technology solutions across multiple geographies

•  A proven understanding of and interest in a wide range of technologies deployed across the retail store environment

•  Proven knowledge of how to apply technology to improve customer experience in retail stores

•  Proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the retail, store technology and/ or travel industry (e.g., PoS technology, digital tools applied to retail stores, etc.)

•  Knowledgeable of Agile principles and practices and the ability to adjust them as needed in the right proportions to fit a project/initiative and business environment

•  Effective and well-developed oral and written communication skills to manage a range of stakeholders

•  Ideally exposure to some of the unique challenges posed by an air-side environment

•  Excel advanced level, ideally experience using Jira, Trello and other project management tools
