PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

The Global Digital Learning Content Manager leads the creation, development and lifecycle management of global digital learning solutions. The position holder collaborates with global and regional stakeholders, manages partnerships and ensures global learning solutions delivery through effective project management, while also actively contributing to content creation using instructional design, graphic and video production skills. This position reports to the Global Head of Learning Solutions and could be based in London, Amsterdam, Milan or Madrid and requires travel up to 10%.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Content Development & Demand Management  

  • Leads the development and curation of global learning solutions by collaborating with global and regional business, HR and functional stakeholders   

  • Supports global needs assessment to identify learning solutions requirements aligned with organizational goals and regional demands   

  • Incorporates performance support tools and resources into content, ensuring learners have access to just-in-time materials that drive behavior change and enhance job performance 

  • Develops and promotes knowledge management solutions to foster shared knowledge and ensure consistent learning practices across the organization 

  • Utilizes instructional design best practices, graphic design, and video production skills to create engaging digital learning content   

  • Incorporates AI tools and innovative techniques to optimize content development and enhance learner experience   

  • Ensures content creation and curation is delivered in alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and manages stakeholder expectations   

Content Lifecycle & Governance  

  • Manages the entire content lifecycle, from content creation, updates, retirement, to refresh cycles, ensuring the LMS content remains relevant and effective   

  • Maintains governance over content management processes, ensuring compliance with global standards and regular catalogue updates   

  • Analyzes content performance, creates reports, and leverages data-driven insights to continuously optimize learning content and make informed decisions about future content development and updates   

Partnership & Stakeholder Collaboration  

  • Maintains and establishes new partnerships with commercial brands to integrate their product knowledge into Avolta’s LMSs   

  • Manages relationships with external digital learning vendors, including LMS, content and tool providers, handling escalations, maintaining ongoing communication, and ensuring they meet service expectations and SLAs   

Project Management & Communication 

  • Leads multiple content streams, leveraging strong project management skills to ensure timely and effective delivery of content initiatives   

  • Creates and manages communication campaigns to promote learning content across the organization, ensuring employees are aware of available training 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR  

  • At least 4 years of proven experience in digital learning content development, with proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Elucidat)   

  • At least 3 years of experience with learning technologies. Cornerstone and/or Axonify desired, but not mandatory   

  • At least 3 years of experience in graphic design and video production, with proficiency in software such as Adobe Suite and AI video design tools   

  • Strong expertise in instructional design and learning theories, with a focus on behavior change and their practical application in developing user-centered digital content   

  • Proven experience working with stakeholders (SMEs) to influence, manage expectations, gather content requirements, and ensure alignment with SLAs   

  • Experience using AI tools to optimize content creation and improve learning outcomes   

  • Strong project and change management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize complex multiple content streams simultaneously with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail   

  • Experience in managing the full content lifecycle, including governance, catalog maintenance, and content refreshment   

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences   

  • A global mindset and the ability to work effectively across diverse cultures, languages, and geographies 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
