Role Profile

 

As a member of the Global Tax function and reporting to the Global Customs and VAT Manager, this role will have to thrive in a dynamic, multi-national and multi-cultural environment, and will be focused on Customs related matters and implementation of multi-country projects.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Customs compliance and advisory:

 

  • Assist with the preparation and review of reports to be shared with Customs Authorities
  • Prepare and review Customs related documentation to support operations and projects
  • Analyze country specific implications of cross border transactions
  • Liaise with fiscal representatives and Customs Authorities in connection with Customs reportings
  • Collaborate with the finance teams and operations to make sure that Customs obligations are properly and timely addressed
  • Address and coordinate Customs audits and requirements
  • Advise on supply chain, marketing and other specific projects
  • Coordinate and align with Indirect Taxes areas to provide global and multi-perspective solutions to operations
  • Monitor, analyze and implement changes in the Customs legal environment
  • Train other areas where Customs knowledge is required
  • Support the Global Tax team on their daily activities

 

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with various departments to provide guidance, training and support (IT, supply chain, warehouse, finance, operations, etc.)
  • Liaise with external consultants in connection with tax and customs related matters and audits

 

Profile

Experience and Specific Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3 year of experience in Customs compliance and advisory
  • Knowledge of VAT and Excise Duties in connection with cross border transactions and bonded warehouses
  • Proficiency in tax software and financial systems
  • Full professional competence in English and Spanish
  • Attention to detail and focus on data accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
