PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

The Global Culture & DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Head plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving our organization's culture, well-being & DEI strategies, initiatives, programs and partnerships across Avolta. This role sits within the Global People, Culture & Organization (PC&O) team and collaborates closely with regional HR leaders, regional competency centers, ESG, business units, and executive teams across various functions. This position reports into the Senior Vice President of Culture & DEI and could be based in London, Madrid or Milan. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Design & Implementation of Avolta’s New Global Culture  

  • Partners closely with the regions, globally plans, implements, and evaluates a wide range of employee engagement initiatives, culture transformation and well-being programs that address the diverse needs of our colleagues (e.g.  oversee celebrations such as work anniversaries, team building activities, EAPs and employee well-being platforms) 

  • Leads and oversees design and activation strategy of programs including well-being resources, support, and services that may impact global employee health and performance 

  • Supports in the design and administration of Avolta’s team member surveys, including engagement/culture surveys and other pulse surveys (such as onboarding, anniversary, exit, etc.) 

  • Oversees and manages the internal Beekeeper People, Culture and Organization stream, driving engagement by curating content and ensuring alignment with DEI and culture initiatives across the platform 

  • Develops and implements a global Rewards and Recognition program, designed to celebrate team member achievements, promote inclusivity, and foster a culture of appreciation across all regions. 

Global DEI Initiative Design & Support 

  • Supports in the evolution of the organization’s global DEI strategy in alignment with Avolta’s new brand identity and principles 

  • Implements and oversees a portfolio of global DEI projects, ensuring consistent delivery and impact throughout the regions; translates DEI strategies into actionable initiatives 

  • Manages and coordinates DEI certifications for the group 

  • Drives global setup of ERGs / Affinity Groups ensuring participation, impact and recognition 

  • Supports and sits on Avolta’s global DEI Steering Committee 

  • Ensures DEI is embedded into our day-to-day activities and ways of working, especially across the various HR initiatives (e.g. hiring/promotion practices and process) 

  • Supports the promotion of DEI as part of our culture, internally and externally via communications, events, and partnerships 

  • In close partnership with L&D, designs, implements, and monitors DEI training programs for leaders and employees across the group 

  • Manages and implements the global DEI calendar, coordinating key initiatives, events and milestones to promote DEI across the organization. 

  • Manages the global DEI newsletter, overseeing content creation and engagement strategies to ensure consistent communication and alignment with DEI, L&D and talent acquisition initiatives across all regions. 

Measurement & Reporting 

  • Develops and implements metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of our initiatives. 

  • Works closely with HR technology team to create specific reporting for our regions. Analyze global KPIs to create the ‘story’ behind the data. Gather regional data to prepare for presentations alongside global analyses. 

  • Regularly reports on progress to senior leadership and provide insights and recommendations based on data (e.g. publishing of the company’s DEI scorecard) 

  • Manages and tracks ESG KPIs related to DEI and Culture, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals and fostering a more inclusive and equitable workplace. 

Collaboration, Partnerships & Stakeholder Management 

  • Partners with regional HR leaders, regional competency centers, various function leads, and the overall HR team, to integrate culture and DEI into HR across the entire team member journey 

  • Frequently gathers feedback and insights, ensuring programs and initiatives remain relevant and impactful 

  • Liaises with external stakeholders, industry groups, and other organizations to benchmark and share best practices 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR  

  • Thorough knowledge and experience of implementing culture & DEI concepts 

  • A global mindset and the ability to work across diverse cultures, languages, and geographies 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 

  • Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks, with solid financial acumen 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; in particular, ability to analyze data related to culture and DEI 

  • Strong negotiations and influencing skills with the ability to partner closely with business leaders and stakeholders across all levels of the organization 

  • Excellent communications skills and fluency in English (written + verbal) and ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences 

  • Demonstrates inclusive leadership, which involves being empathetic, engaging, and a good team player with a continuous learning mindset 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required; Master's degree preferred 

  • Five to eight (5-8) years of Human Resources experience required, with at least 2-3 years preferred specializing employee engagement/culture and DEI
