PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Commercial Director, Airport Media plays a key role in unlocking a massive advertising opportunity in airports worldwide. The position holder negotiates multi-million media deals, expand partnerships with airport authorities, and optimize revenue-sharing agreements. The Commercial Director, Airport Media reports to the SVP Advertising and Commercialization and can be based in either of our global hubs in the Unites States, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Singapore if in possession of an appropriate work permit.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead high-value negotiations with airport operators, media networks (JCDecaux, Clear Channel), and commercial landlords
  • Structure large-scale media agreements across DOOH, Retail Signage, and Digital Airport Media
  • Optimize airport monetization strategies through pre-buying, dynamic pricing, and sponsorship models
  • Ensure global alignment across LATAM, EMEA, NA, and APAC

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 10+ years experience in high-value media negotiations (McKinsey/BCG, Media Partnerships, DOOH, or Retail)
  • Proven track record of closing high-impact airport or retail advertising deals
  • Strong financial & strategic acumen to structure multi-year, high-margin contracts
  • Fluent in English, speech and writing; additional language is an asset
  • Strong ability to lead multi-cultural and cross-functional teams
  • Effectively communicate strategies and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly evolving start-up setting
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into the essential points to inform executive decision-making
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Superior relationship-building and exceptional consultative skills with a passion and hunger to win
  • Results-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, and a “hands-on” person with a proven ability to meet objectives and targets
  • Travel required, as necessary, for customer-facing activities and team collaboration
