Advertised Compensation: $120,900.00 to $146,500.00
Purpose: The Senior Systems Architect leads the implementation of digital technology solutions across new and existing store locations. This role coordinates internal teams, brand partners, and external vendors to deliver each deployment on schedule, to brand and technical standard, and within budget.
Essential Functions:
- Leads end-to-end deployment of digital solutions including self-order kiosks, mobile and QR ordering, self-checkout, and related technologies for new store openings, remodels, conversions, and existing locations requiring technology enhancements
- Serves as the primary point of coordination between internal teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors throughout the deployment lifecycle
- Partners with Design & Construction to confirm site readiness and alignment deployment activity with construction schedules.
- Partners with Network Services to coordinate connectivity, infrastructure readiness, and technical requirements
- Coordinates with CDM team to ensure menu configuration, pricing, promotions, and integrations are completed prior to deployment
- Works with Digital Menu teams and Brand teams to ensure content and standards are launch-ready
- Manages vendor relationships covering sales orders, scheduling, installation, configuration, testing, and implementation support
- Tracks equipment deliveries, installation schedules, project milestones, and deployment readiness activities
- Facilitates menu reviews, solution validation, hypercare bridge calls, issue tracking, stakeholder communications, and escalation management
- Tracks project financials through Design & Construction financial systems to ensure charges are allocated to the correct projects throughout the NSO lifecycle; provides weekly progress reports, implementation metrics, risk assessments, and project updates to leadership
Reporting Relationship: The Senior Systems Architect reports to the Director of Digital Integrations
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
- Education and Experience: The combination of education and professional experience must exceed 6 years:
- In a leadership role: Preferred 2 years of experience supervising or influencing a team of professionals engaged in implementing digital technology solution implementation
- In a technical role: Requires 6-8 years of experience engaged in executing technology deployments, digital rollouts
- A bachelor’s degree in a program related to the functional area can count for 3 of the 6-year requirement
- In the industry: 3-5 years of Hospitality, F&B and/or Retail experience
- Specialized Skillset/Competencies/Traits:
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills, with ability to manage concurrent deployments across multiple locations and competing timelines
- Proven vendor management experience including scheduling, installation oversight, and holding third parties accountable to delivery commitments
- Stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to translate technical requirements for operations, brand, and construction partners
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to identify deployment risks early and drive issues to resolution through escalation
- Knowledge of POS, kiosks, mobile ordering, digital menu boards, and payment technologies preferred
- Working knowledge of project financial tracking and cost allocation
- Business acumen and also has the mindset required to understand the long-term implications of digital management planning and to advance the organization’s goals
- Demonstrated history of understanding the needs of the business, stakeholders, the employee population and individual circumstances
- Demonstrated history of creating and maintaining positive work environments
- Location: This role is based at the North America Support Center in Bethesda, Maryland
