Purpose
The Cosmetics Supervisor is responsible for the management of assigned beauty counters and staff throughout YVR Airport. This role focuses on driving sales through exceptional customer service, staff coaching and development, and maintaining counter merchandising standards in alignment with brand and company guidelines.

Specific Requirements
Customers
- Promote quality customer service among staff by acting as a positive role model.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries or concerns and/or seek appropriate assistance from other management or staff as required.
- Assist in providing proper counter coverage based on business needs
People
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, ensuring staff feel valued and supported.
- Conduct regular team meetings to provide updates, training, and motivation.
- Implement effective conflict resolution strategies, addressing workplace issues fairly and professionally.
- Conduct performance evaluations, recognizing strong performers and addressing areas for improvement.
- Recruitment, selection and training of Artists required.
Sales & Operations
- Analyze and review sales figures and develop strategies to improve performance.
- Responsible for multi-vendor reporting, direct multi-vendor relationship, vendor visits, merchandising, dress code expectations.
- Monitor and communicate product in-stock positions, ensuring that stock levels are at appropriate levels at all times.
- Assist in the maintenance of TS/RP’s for all locations.
- Maximize sales through strategic merchandising and promotional presentation in all locations.
- Implement marketing strategies, ensuring product supply and coordinate teams.
- Ensure merchandise is neat, clean and fully stocked in all locations.
- Ensure that all signage and shelf edge pricing is clear and accurate in all locations.
- Supervise inventory counting at the end of shift. Assist with all loss prevention initiatives, including staff bag checks.
- Assists in preparation for full inventory count, ensuring that the staff and areas to be counted are prepared and ready for the count.
- Oversee product RTV, price changes, merchandising standards, TSRP and promotional changeovers.
- Receive and distribute testers & GWP’s at the warehouse for sorting and store distribution.
- Observe and maintain store loss prevention and security procedures and report any security breaches or issues.
- Ensures all health & safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
- Performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or leadership team of which the team member is capable of performing.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 2 of management experience in the cosmetics, fragrance, and makeup industry.

Minimum of 3 years retail experience, preferably in beauty-related roles.
- Strong leadership and staff development experience.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to coach and develop staff in areas of sales, service and merchandising.
- Ability to balance activities that drive both short and long-term business results in a fast-paced environment.
- Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize efforts to achieve objectives.
- Relationship oriented (internally and externally).
- Confident, articulate and energetic.
- Flexibility to work various shifts according to business needs.
