Manager, Warehouse & Logistics Systems
Purpose: The Manager, Warehouse and Logistics Systems is responsible for the design, implementation, and improvement of SAP ECC and WM systems related to warehouse and logistics including peripheral hardware like scanners and barcode printers.
Essential Functions:
- Provides day-to-day operational support for all logistics applications and tools including SAP ECC, SAP WM, Peripheral Hardware, US/Canadian Customs functionality, and all reporting related to the supported processes in BW and Power BI
- Implements code changes to resolve production issues in a timely fashion in collaboration with the development team
- Leads or supports small to large scale continuous improvement projects in SAP ECC/WM Applications, and supporting reporting platforms
- Completes SAP and related system configurations as required to support functional business requirements
- Writes and maintains detailed and effective documentation for SAP and development activities
- Collaborates with functional and IT teams along with external partners to support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
- Leads requirements gathering and design sessions with functional and IT resources and formalize requirements and gain formal signoff
- Manages projects and initiatives in adherence to standard Project Management Office (PMO) methodology, including financial management practices
- Completes unit testing and cross-functional integration testing for SAP development items
- Supports existing and new interfaces for the exchange of data wherever needed
Reporting Relationship: The Manager, Warehouse and Logistics Systems reports to the Senior Director of Business Applications
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
- Education and Experience: The combination of education and professional experience must exceed 6 years:
- In a leadership role: Requires 2 years of experience supervising a team of IT professionals engaged in designing and implementing solutions in corporate applications
- In a technical role: Requires 6-8 years of IT experience engaged in maintaining WMS/ERP platforms, administration, and project applications
- A bachelor’s degree in a program related to the functional area can count for 3 of the 6-year requirement
- In the industry: 3-5 years of Hospitality, F&B and/or Retail experience; customs experience a plus
- Experience implementing SAP Systems in a retail environment, as well as working with MDM platforms, Zebra printers, and handheld scanners
- Specialized Training:
- Training that leads to knowledge of warehouse and supply chain management practices and processes

- Strong organizational skills; ensures that team meets commitments and adheres to project schedules
- Business acumen and also has the mindset required to understand the long-term implications of IT planning and to advance the organization’s goals
- Demonstrated history of understanding the needs of the business, stakeholders, the employee population, and individual circumstances
- Demonstrated history of creating and maintaining positive work environments through coaching, developing, and leading teams to achieve common goals
- Location: This position is located at one of our North America Support Centers, either in Bethesda, MD or East Rutherford, NJ. We may also consider qualified applicants, outside or these areas, for remote work.
