F&B Shift Manager
Job Title: F&B Shift Manager I
Purpose: The Hudson F&B Shift Manager I oversees quick service restaurant(s) or point-of-sale locations with up to $5M in sales, ensuring optimal operational and financial performance. This role requires exercising sound judgment and broad discretion to maintain clean, fully staffed locations that consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences while meeting profitability targets and brand standards.
Daily Operations:
- Hourly rate range from $21.11 up to $23.45 + quaterly bonus
- Oversees opening/closing procedures and holds shift managers accountable for checklist completion
- Deploys staff and resources to maximize profitability while maintaining P&L responsibility
- Creates schedules, assign tasks, and ensure all shifts are covered
- Position located at DFW International Airport.
Team Leadership:
- Hires, terminates, and makes advancement decisions for restaurant associates
- Provides coaching, support, and recognition to drive employee engagement
- Conducts onboarding/offboarding, training, and performance management
- Implements diversity hiring practices, conducts bias-free interviews, and ensures equitable scheduling and advancement opportunities across all demographic groups
Inventory & Equipment:
- Manages daily ordering, receiving, and inventory stocking procedures
- Maintains equipment through routine service and repairs
- Utilizes management systems (MIV, Crunch Time, Kronos)
- Minimizes waste and participate in food donation programs
Brand Standards & Customer Service:
- Maintains knowledge of brand standards, lease agreements, and procedures
- Resolves customer and associate issues using sound judgment
- Implements corporate marketing programs and promotional activities
- Develops creative revenue-generating strategies
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensures adherence to federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
- Trains staff on safety protocols and wellness procedures
- Manages audit responses and maintain compliance standards
Role Information & Reporting Relationship:
- The F&B Shift Manager I position as described falls under the Fair Labor Standards act as an Hourly position
- The position typically reports to the F&B Director, or an intermediate zone, cluster or area leader within the assigned location
- The F&B Shift Manager I position is expected to work a varied and rotating schedule to be on site at various operating days and hours each week; some opening shifts, during some busy dayparts, and during some closing shifts to monitor restaurant associates’ work activities during these different days and times
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
- Education and Experience: The combination of education and professional experience must exceed 5 years:

- In a leadership role: Requires 3 years of experience leading a team of professionals engaged in developing and executing F&B operations programs
- In a technical role: Requires 5-7 years of experience engaged in developing and delivering F&B operations programs
- Completion of a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for a portion of the time-based experience requirement
- Experience managing the type of restaurant (QSR, casual dine, or full service, of similar complexity/Union and Non-Union, etc.) to which the role is assigned, including overall responsibility for success and failure of the restaurant under their leadership as identified by P&L
- Demonstrates knowledge of F&B operations policies, products, service standards, and equipment procedures, or ability to develop this expertise quickly after hire/promotion
- Strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple operational aspects while driving profitability and maintaining brand standards
- Business acumen and also has the mindset required to understand the long-term implications of Functional planning and to advance the organization’s goals
- Demonstrated history of understanding the needs of the business, stakeholders, the employee population, and individual circumstances
- Demonstrated history of creating and maintaining positive work environments through coaching, developing, and leading teams to achieve common goals
