Purpose: The Senior Manager of Revenue Optimization develops and executes pricing strategies and performance analysis within the Operational Performance Management Program. This role drives revenue growth and margin improvement by analyzing pricing effectiveness, monitoring key performance indicators, and leading optimization projects across assigned business units.
Job Summary: The Senior Manager of Revenue Optimization will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced pricing strategies specifically tailored to duty-free products sold in airport retail environments. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in duty-free retail. The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven insights to optimize pricing for luxury goods, electronics, and gourmet food and beverages, ensuring compliance with airport duty-free requirements and maximizing revenue across diverse airport locations. Success in this position demands a proven track record in duty-free pricing management, strong analytical skills suited to cross-border retail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align pricing with both regulatory requirements and business objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains product hierarchy and pricing analytics in the Data Governance program, including dimensional analysis to support pricing decisions and sales mix evaluation
- Calculates and analyzes Average Transaction Value (ATV) for assigned categories, concepts, and business units
- Assesses sales and margin impact of internal and external factors on pricing and mix optimization, supporting performance management of related KPIs
- Serve as the subject matter expert on pricing and sales mix, monitoring performance, recommending adjustments to prices and product mix based on data analysis
- Leads Revenue Optimization projects to improve revenue, related KPIs, including authoring and collecting business case justifications and collecting supporting data
- Provides transparent project status to leadership through regular documentation, testing, training materials, and post-audit analysis
- Submits landlord pricing submissions and audits on behalf of local operations and corresponds with landlords regarding pricing submissions through established pricing process
- Presents project results and analysis as required to senior leadership and internal or external stakeholders
Reporting Relationship: The Senior Manager of Revenue Optimization position reports to the Senior Director of Revenue Optimization

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
- Education and Experience: The combination of education and professional experience must exceed 6 years:
- In a leadership role: Requires 2 years of experience leading a team engaged in executing pricing and revenue optimization programs
- In a technical role: Requires 6-8 years of experience engaged in developing and delivering revenue optimization programs
- A bachelor’s degree in a program related to the functional area can count for 3 of the six-year requirement
- In the industry: 3-5 years of Hospitality, F&B and/or Retail experience. Duty Free experience strongly preferred.
- Specialized Skillset/Competencies/Traits:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Smartsheet, with preferred experience in data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.
- Strong knowledge of duty free and retail operations, including pricing methodologies, assortment selection process, and related KPIs
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and business intelligence platforms; statistical analysis and interpretation skills
- Proficiency in pricing elasticity analysis and revenue management principles
- Financial modeling and forecasting capabilities
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of POS systems and transaction-level data structures
- Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
- Business acumen with the mindset required to understand the long-term implications of revenue optimization planning and to advance the organization’s goals
- Demonstrated history of understanding the needs of the business, stakeholders, the employee population and individual circumstances
- Demonstrated history of creating and maintaining positive work environments
- Location: This role is based at the North America Support Center in Bethesda, MD or in one of the following areas: New York City, Toronto, Vancouver, Las Vegas, Seattle, Boston.
